I have new MP3 files in the folder but the WMA files still work. None of the MP3 files work though.Frown

Does your game have the latest patch? The one you have might not be able to play mp3s.

Alright, so I did some proper googling and found this post from Wendygirl at http://micechat.com/forums/rollercoaster...-rct3.html

Just for clarification, you won't see the folder when you use the add music button, you get a list of the songs. RCT3 has two music files, one that is the default folder for music and the other is the RCT3 folder in your My Documents/My Music folder and anything in that folder will be added into the default music. The game will accept MP3, Windows Media Player Audio Files and I think WAV files. Some play with no problems, others will not play at all. Trial and error will find which files play and which don't.

This solved the questee's problem and hopefully yours, but it seems like if its over a certain amount of space it takes to much of the games memory and poof, no music. As she (or he- not sure) stated, trial and error is the only way to tell. Hope this helped!

EDIT: I found a crash report if this helps you, the guys had the same issue, and resolved it by coverting his mp3's to wma and wav. He then used audacity to compress the files slightly.

I had problems before with file formats. I don't know why RCT3's music system is so complex though. It should be 'Put an mp3 in a folder and it will play in-game. Yay!'

Hmm. Ive noticed that one click audio converter compresses them a bit too.

I don't think any WAV files work. I have some in my RCT3 music folder but they're the duplicates of some MP3's in that folder.

I'm having audio trouble once again. This time, I don't get ANY sound except for menu sounds. What's the problem this time?

You mean no music comes in sandbox or anything?

Maybe you should try re-installing the music... somehow...
