In an official press release the Elite Group has finally broke their silence about the ongoing construction on former family-owned amusement park, the Kingdom. In a bold move by Tim Maulkin, Financial Advisor and Jeri Ford, CEO of the Elite Group, they have decided to purchase the deserted amusement park to add to their growing chain. The Elite Group are the owners of World Fair & Amusement Park as well as Kings Creek (formerly Blackwood Creek).

When asked of a name, Jeri responded in saying the Kingdom will retain its name for legal purposes but we are starting from scratch. All rides have been dismantled and removed and we are starting from the very tip of our property and working our way back and out. The main entrance offices are almost complete and then we will start paving out the entrance plaza.

This is an exciting event that the small town of Pallsville will never forget! It is rumored that this park will debut with a 150 foot tall Bolliger & Mabillard stand-up coaster. Whether or not this is true, has yet to be confirmed but we can only hope here.

The almost-completed entrance stands as the Elite Group's most elaborate designs!

You’ll no doubt have seen the latest events occurring in the Elite Group Parks (Kings Creek and World Fair & Amusement Park). Kings Creek has shown us their testing phase of most of their thrill rides. We also got to see the finished Kings Rumbler and it is a beauty. The only thing that actually concerns us about Kings Creek is their timing. The park will open on April 22, 2005 which is a little over a month away but yet we have seen no further construction take place in Blackwood Ridge. We do hope that there will be no delay with the new expansion because that will be what makes or breaks the crowd for Kings Creek and will either build or destroys its reputation.

As for World Fair & Amusement Park, besides the still unanswered question of whether or not Hurricane Cove will be open for this season, there is a final touch to the park with the addition of Titan, which has been completed. As work only now remains with placing the cars on the track and making its debut on May 13, as we see that as a more realistic deadline. Not just for the park but for the coaster as well. Kings Creek we feel will slight let us down with the upcoming attractions (Trampoline included). We hope to see an evolution in World Fair as said by Charles Marcus [General Manager] himself, World Fair is the original park. It has a reputation to uphold and he will see it carried out that way.

Now with the upcoming parks there now lies a question of whether or not the Kingdom will reign supreme once it opens which as we last heard is tentatively scheduled to open in Spring of 2006. We have insight also that the Kingdom will be rid of its name before the upcoming opening of the other two Elite Group Parks. When asked of the sudden name change, Sarah Baymont responded:

Quote:After a long board meeting we all agreed unanimously that the Kingdom wasn’t going fit within the Elite Group. It was a very dull named compared to the likes of Kings Creek and World Fair. There are some news being tossed around as we speak, but none are confirmed and you will be the first to know of such news. Until then, we have more some assessors and appraisers coming to look at the former Kingdom park and to consider our options of construction before construction actually begins in June of 2005. We expect the park to open in 2006 with the other three amusement parks.

[UPDATE 2]
Seems like CEO, Jeri Ford, could no longer keep the excitement within himself as earlier today the Elite released the official name and press release of the former park, the Kingdom. Recently acquired from the Mullins family, the Kingdom was a small park that operated during the months of March through July – as they closed on July 3rd to commemorate their relative involved in the writing of the Declaration of Independence. However after the Elite Group purchased the park they have released official information which has all here at the Times Reporter a buzz!

Quote:North Point Amusement Park formerly the Kingdom is to open on March 3, 2006. The park will open with approximately five rides two of which are rollercoasters. We are told one of the coasters is definitely a steel coaster that is a rarity and never been put in one of the Elite Group parks. We are also told that this park will be the park that we will see grow the fastest. When compared to the other two parks in the Elite Group; Sarah Baymont (Director of Media Relations) said: “World Fair was our first official park and it will always be treasured as our baby. Kings Creek has a story behind it and the story will be revealed over time. North Point is going to be our first generic park that we will see evolutionize almost exceedingly fast bringing in a new attraction every year. This park will also open with a unique element that no other Elite Park has and that will be revealed closer to the opening date which we tentatively have set as March 3 of 2006. The season will run short the first year until the end of July. After that, the following seasonal run will be from March to October.

With the knowledge of seeing North Point evolve the fastest, us as the Times Reporter can definitely see frequent trips coming up in the near future.

Thank you! Smile
I'm only the middle-man for the people who are really working on this park.

apparently there isn't going to be a B&M stand-up coaster. it was just what it was, only a rumor! Frown
i'm keeping track of this park though as the real creators are a group of people called the Elite Group on RCTLounge.
