jackthedog's passing out may have been some of these factors but I'm not 100% sure:
Fainting (syncope) is a sudden loss of consciousness from a lack of blood flow to the brain. Victims usually wake up quickly after collapsing.it can be caused by dehydration,shock,phobia(for example you are phobia to blood) etc.
Low blood sugar (not eating a lot/often enough)
Drop in blood pressure (sitting up too suddenly)
Dehydration (lack of proper water intake)
Illness or disease (can be a number of things)

My doc told me if you sit down for a while then stand up, you get dizzy. I forget what it's called, but it may have happened.
