I've been ready to play a more advanced version of RCT3 Platinum. Looking at tutorials on youtube, but can't seem to find them when I'm using the game. I would like to learn how to use the advanced camera options and record if possible from the peeps view. Is there an advanced guide out to this game? How are all of you figuring this stuff out? When I download some of the custom scenery, sometimes it freezes the game. I'm kind of bored with the scenerios, so I'm starting to make my own, and learning what I can do with the scenerio editior and sandbox mode.
I gotta remember that about the frame rate as that was bugging me before and I thought it was because of my laptop
Using the ingame video recording always records super slow but playback of the video will be at normal speed.
If you have a very complex park with tons of peeps, scenery and rides it can cause some lags in the final video. Sometimes if a park has too many things/parts used it can cause the game to not record at all. It takes a lot to get to the point where the game will not record at all.
If you get to the point where the game will no longer record video you can use a video screen capture program like FRAPS.
In addition to Frankedj’s suggestions it’s also a good idea to remember that one shouldn’t increase the frame rate of the video recording application to too high a value. Generally they install at about highest frame rate they are capable of handling on their host system. Frame rates that are too high for the application to handle result in videos that jump from one still image to the next showing very little video movement.

I have had problems recording games like RCT3. Some times it doesn't record, sometimes in records slow and plays back slow also. It is best just to let RCT3 record itself.
High resolutions, high LOD's and water reflections also have an affect on recording video in addition to the complexity of the park.
I like maxing out all of the graphics to have better detail. That is why I can usually only build one thing in an empty sandbox. Otherwise it causes lots of lags in the video recording.
Using 1,000's and 10's of thousand of pieces of CS or trees can get you to the point of the game not recording at all and can even cause the game to crash.
When experimenting with mega pieces of scenery it is wise to save the game often using a new name every so often so if you get to the point where the park won't load anymore you can go back to a save that will load.
