Hello, everyone. Oh so long ago, when I first began playing RCT1 by itself--and then with the expansions--I remember having as many as 15 (?) different pre-made wooden roller coasters to choose from in the construction box. I distinctly remember having to scroll down to see the very bottom of the list. With my latest install and round of play, I am limited to Mischief and Woodchip. I've probably installed the game at least five times (still have the original discs, btw), but can't really say when all the wooden coasters went missing. This time the loss is like a sore thumb. The nostalgic part of me is wondering where in the world I got those other coasters.
My "gut" tells me they were likely some kind of official content offered for download rather than fan made tracks, but I could certainly be wrong. I get glimpses of the list in my head. I feel strongly that one was called Toothpick. Another Ember(s). And I feel like one of them was in a big L shape. I used a few of them repeatedly, others only rarely as they were very big or very expensive. And they were all most definitely under the basic wooden roller coaster category. Finally, none of these coasters were "new" as these memories go back to very early in the game's history.
I suppose this is more of a nostalgia question than anything. I'll certainly continue to play the game without those added coasters, but the deepest, most nostalgic part of me would love to have all those great wooden roller coasters back on my pre-made list. I did notice on the Wikipedia page that there was a "Deluxe" version released which contained additional designs for "customizable rides." Maybe those designs were once available for download to people who purchased previous versions of the game? I've searched the internet to no avail. Anyway, does this sound at all familiar to anyone?
Thanks for reading the long post. And thanks for any replies. Happy gaming, all.
