RCT3 Peeps -"I want to go on more rides, where are all the rides?"

#1
So you take the time to make a beautiful park, with rides and information with maps to show the peeps where to go. And they say "I want to go on more rides or where are all the rides?"

Is it better to make a park with just rides and no thought into the design? Or in the Sandbox mode, take the time to make an effort to make a good park and not care about the peeps thoughts?

If you all are able to make a great design and get the peeps to find and use the park with out the annoying, "I want to go on more rides, or where are all the rides" how did you solve this?

Thanks ahead of time.

You’re on the right track. Continue to make parks while putting a great deal of thought into building them. It is never a good idea to make a park with no thought into the design – unless you are experimenting with CS or tracks or terraforming in a workbench.

I play sandbox exclusively and I can tell you this message occurs in sandbox. I always ignore it. What I see in my parks and how it looks to me is what’s important in my design.

The game engine uses a formula which factors in the varying ratios of the different things there is in the park. Many times our idea of what’s enough in a park doesn’t suit this formula. The data that results from the calculation of this formula determines if we will see this message. If defeating the "I want to go on more rides or where are all the rides" message is your priority then you’d need to do just that, continue to put rides into the park until the message stops. In a small park this will probably have a negative effect on the overall design.

I agree with you. Taking the time to make a good design for a park. I was just curious. Sometimes certain messages constantly come up and its annoying. But I also try and ignore it. I just want to make a park that I like. I've learned a lot from this website and after I got a new computer and a better processor, I'm able to do a lot more. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I would build a section with some rides, then build the buildings/ scenery. That tends to work for me. What I see some people do is build and entire park with rides and no scenery, then when the park is complete they add the scenery, or vis-versa. That doesn't work.

I've tried a few different ways. But always looking for more suggestions. Thank you. Smile
