Please help...certain cso sometimes freezes game...why?

I download custom scenery from this site and custom scenery depot. Sometimes certain cso
freezes the game and I have to do control alt delete, sign out of my computer and go back in.
Any suggestions?

remove the set and re-install it, try re-downloading the set too. if that doesnt work, its probably a fault in the set somewhere

I have tried that and got nowhere. The set I am having trouble with everyone loves. I can not figure where the conflict is. Eek I am giving up myself. If it does not I will get rid of it. I may have to start from scratch. Any other thoughts to help this person and myself.Eek

Are you sure you put the cs in the right folder? It can be easy to accidentally misplace it into the wrong folder. And if it is in the right folder, did you unzip the file? I have forgotten to unzip the file a few times before and it does cause the game to freeze.

So far this is working for me.....(advice from SUPER MOOSE93)
I removed (deleted it) the atari folder from the hard drive c: on my computer. I uninstalled the game and re installed it. I downloaded the custom scenery again, cut it from the downloads folder and pasted it onto my desktop. I used WinRar to extract the files (I put these on my desktop). I deleted the zip files I downloaded from the custom scenery sites I wanted to use. Then I went to Atari, Style, Themed. Instead of opening the themed folder all the way, I dragged the unzipped files from the custom scenery files I wanted directly over (into) the themed folder. When I did that so far (crossing my fingers) I haven't had any more problems with the custom scenery items I wanted to use. One note: some of the files as they came extracted came up broken, these were from webers rct3 land site. Frustrating, cause I like lot of his custom scenery.

fyi: I also found that if I leave the readme files in the folders sometimes it causes problems. I make a list on paper of whose custom scenery I use and then include it in the file (so the authors get credit) I make from the scenery items and put it on this site with the information (I usually make a zipped folder to download my works to the rctgo site when I'm done).
