After receiving incredibly mixed feedback about the foliage, I decided to remove all of it and continue without for a couple of months. In hindsight, the vibrant colours were probably too out of this world and contrasting with the buildings to work. But I guess I also created expectations that this ride would be placed in a cold, Martian desert industrial complex - which is why expectations were completely shattered after the huge apparent twist.
However, it has always been my plan to incorporate foliage, since this is supposed to be on a much more exotic planet than, for example, Mars. So, after experimenting for a while, I've finally settled on a rustic colour palette foliage that largely resemble the colours of the rocks (which have gotten a slight Shyguy's Rocks update, too). I'll still take criticism seriously, though, and it was after all the feedback which convinced me to completely redo the foliage, but I do intend on sing foliage. However, I may still add small changes to it.
Onto the actual ride now! The four hills have all been finished for a great part now. The first (lifthill)hill has gotten some new scenery and the lifthill has been recoloured:
The second hill, where all the track has been changed from purple to light- and dark blue:
This third hill is quite new I believe. Well, here's an introduction:
And finally, the last and newest hill, whih in terms of skyline, is probably my favourite after the lifthill-hill.
This area looks quite different now (I'm still looking for something to place on the tower on the left, haha)
This valley still makes for some of my favourite shots.
Seriously.
A new building looking over the lake in the middle of the park has risen up from the hillside here.
And last but not least, an overview! The coaster doesn't look that huge here, but there's some hidden track, and the total runtime is just under 5 minutes.
Thanks for looking at my ancient thread here, and feedback is welcome!
