hello! i'm new and...well i had to join this place cause it's fantastic! so many custom scenery things to download! but i'm still having trouble finding what i need.

i'm currently designing a Halloween Rollercoaster/ haunted house ride, and the haunted house part is divided into sections which will be classical horror scenarios...it begins in a creepy medieval hallway, that goes to a Morgue, then a Crematorium mourning room. from there....ah i'm not sure, but there will be a haunted bedroom and haunted cemetery near the end.

i tried downloading Archbak's EPIC Asylum set, but it wouldn't show up anywhere in the game...and i had to get rid of Doughnut's Gravedigger because most of the pieces wouldn't show up when placed( and such a wonderful hearse and tomb!! whhhhy! T_T)

so i am short on items to complete the morgue section, though funDAmental's dark ride events help some. so any sets anyone could recommend for the settings i said would be so dearly appreciated! teach me the ways, oh fans wiser and more obsessive than me!*bow*

also, Soaked does have particle emitters right?...i reeeally wanna put spooky mist to just make it a little creepier, and hide certain events until the rider gets to them. and i want to put fire in the Crematorium section. wish there was a way to make coffins slide through...ah well.

well thank you for all the links! the only one i downloaded was the 2011 Halloween Extra set. i do wish you had read my post a little better, i've already downloaded all of FunDMental's stuff. i tried downloading the ScreamWorx as well, but that wouldn't show up anywhere in my game..

You are welcome for the links. And, I apologize for the confusion regarding some of the cs you already had. I'm not sure why they were not showing up. But perhaps someone else on this site may be able to help you.

Not showing CSO's ingame:

1) cso file is corrupted -> re-download it and try again

2) you installed it wrong -> read the ReaMe helps if there is one, also an double/triple check after install

Additional, you should allwas set on every theme ingame, because some CSO's aren't located in the generic/standard layer. Also some CSO's have different parts in different sections, too.
Only if you dont find your installed CSO, doesn't mean that it isnt there already.

i did try reinstall...and i always place it in the style/themed folder. and i looked through every scenery section with every option on, generic,spooky,western,scifi..everything! buildings, fences, scenery and so forth. i didn't see it anywhere!T_T as with the Gravedigger file...i suspect that is just simply corrupted or something is missing..i installed it 3 times, and each time it didn't work. the dug out grave was oddly...green and black, and if i tried placing it, it crashed the game. kinda hard to mess it up when you just copy and paste right?

i'm afraid what the rest of you said doesn't really make much sense to me...^^0 clarification please...?

i am going to try downloading and installing Screamworx again...cause it just seems so awesome!

EDIT: yup. did the manual download, extracted the zip file, copy and pasted it into my styles/theme folder, and i have looked everywhere in Scenery. it's not popping up anywhere...gaaah.

I don't know where your problem is, i tested it out by myself and it was shown up in the game.



As you can see, under standard/generic theme and walls-selection.

Check out the folder where the CSO is located again, maybe you have the standart failure, the "Folder in Folder" problem.
After unzipping the file, the CSO-folder is created twice.

In my directory it looks like this:

Style/Themed/JCat's ScreamWorx

and in the "JCat's ScreamWorx" folder are:

JCat's ScreamWorx & two .ovl files.

Every CSO-Folder must have these files in the first opend folder.
If not, RCT3 can't find the CSO ingame!

Maybe your path looks like this:

Style/Themed/JCat's ScreamWorx/JCat's ScreamWorx -> JCat's ScreamWorx & two .ovl-files

As i said again, check everytime the CSO and the path of it. Sometimes this double-folder doesn't happens after unzipping, but often this happens and you must delete the first folder.

i don't think i'm doing that...this was the process i did

download zip file
extract all
go into folder
copy the folder here(which contains 3rd folder and common/unique ovl files)
paste in Themed

that's what you're suppose to do right? or do i copy the file that is extracted from the zip?

since explaining tends to result in things lost in communication...i decided just to make a video of what i was doing to install the CS. if i am doing something wrong, refence to the time i'm doing it please. and i do show, it's not showing up in my game. my apologies for the fuzziness, but you can see what i'm doing.

okay sooo happily i upgraded, and got RTC 3: Platinum! so now i have soaked and wild...so does this affect the custom scenery i can download now? i'm going to go through and try some of these again, and see if they won't work now.


EDIT: whoohoo! Screamworx shows up now!^^ awwweeeesome! now time to see if Gravediggers will work too...*crosses fingers*

EDIT 2: heeeey look at that! everything works now! great!...the only problem now is, the rollercoaster goes too fast! it's like the one cheat code on steroids...
