RCT World

It has been postponed due to negative feedback on the graphics.
It will take a while for them to polish that up, and I don't know the exact date, I guess it'll be around June or July. But you can take that with a grain of salt, because I truly don't know.

I hope there will be a post when it does come out. I have money set aside for it. Lol

Last I heard, they completely updated their engine which causes them to have to revamp pretty much the entire game - anything that wasn't possible with the Unity 4.6 Engine and is possible with Unity 5 Engine has to be replaced (I hope I've worded that correctly), it'll be another while.

^ They have yeah, though I honestly don't see how that's going to make the game much better. In the end, it's all down to the developers, not what they're using.
All we need is somebody to lean on.

Well it's not going to make the game look much better, but it will "feel" better. Don't get me wrong, my understanding of usage of different engines is only very basic so I don't know of in-depth information about what happens with the engine upgrade.
I am very familiar with Unreal Engine, for instance, I've made some custom Unreal Tournament maps using Unreal Engine 1, Unreal Engine 3 and Unreal Engine 4, and the differences have been massive between each engine. In-game, though, there's not much difference between Unreal Engine 3 and 4, but it just feels a bit better, the physics are a bit more on-point, the graphics look slightly better, basically it feels a bit smoother.
I'm not sure this is also the case in the Unity 5 Engine, but it is what I'm looking forward to.

Idk about all that stuff. All I know is my RCT3 cd cracked so I can't play anymore. I'm craving it! I don't wanna go buy a new one if the newest one is coming soon. Post as soon as you hear a date! Anything new yet?

Nothing since their latest post one month ago. There may have been a mention on the official forums, but it would be too deep to find unless you actively search - which I'm not going to at 5 am
I'll let you know when I hear of a release date.

I honestly think they took RCT World in the wrong direction from when they first started working on it. I was expecting RCT World to be that game that didn't need custom scenery because it was so advanced, but no... 10 years later we are stuck on the same tile-based system where the paths don't turn like in real life, and still has those cheesy animatronics (guy balancing on logs, etc.), and the unrealistic food stalls. And of course the cartoonish peeps. I don't see much a difference between RCT World and RCT3.
Even though RCT and RCT2 didn't have the 3D graphics like RCT3 and RCT World, I still think they are best for making the most realistic parks not including custom scenery. Don't get me wrong, but from what I see, there is really no reason to buy RCT World because I already have it in RCT3.

I fully agree with Ardy.
RCT World is hyped for nothing. Only the multiplayer feature could be interesting, but the rest isn't any better as in RCT3.
The Trailer was more video edited than ingame views and they won't improve the graphics that much that they can avoid the cartoonish look and go more like Theme Park Studio.
Also i think that they won't include that much new/custom scenary that we'll have currently for RCT3.
So in the end when RCT World is released its again up to us to create custom content for more/less a RCT3+. Sorry, i'll play RCT3 with all the good stuff before i'll get only a newer copy of it without any custom content. Also the good old ones RCT1 & 2.
So long, Cobra
