RCT3 aecrouch7413 RC/park/building thread, etc....

I will be posting all future projects in this thread. This will include any roller coasters, parks, or buildings I may be working on. Currently I'm working on a B&M Sitdown RC by Parallax no name for it. Please review the layout and leave me your thoughts on it. I just learned how to do the Cobra Roll so hopefully I have it right now. I like the layout. I turned the supports off so I still have to delete them which is why you see the shadow of them. After I get some feedback, I'll move on to the next stage. Thanks. Note: I've been watching Silvarret's tutorials and didn't want to copy his roller coaster so I made my own variation.

Judging by the layout it looks like it would be going really fast through that loop and the two corkscrews

Perhaps I should move the loop or change the layout a little bit. When I tested the ride it did seem to go very fast in the sections you mentioned. Any suggestions?

Revisions to coaster:

Once the final layout is finished I will change the supports.

I still have lots of learning to do and revisions regarding making a more realistic B&M track. These to are apparently not very realistic to what B&M Coasters are. So I'm going to have to look at the B&M coasters again and get a better idea for how to make a B&M RC with an Alpine Village Theme using Shyguy's Alpine Custom Scenery Sets. Thanks all who responded. It may be awhile before I post again on this topic. Will work on revisions again.

Well, i would say every start of something new is tough. Because of lack of experience and knowledge.

The first layout would work if you change it a bit.
The second version doesn't work in my eyes infact of to much long, straight sections that are boring for guests/peeps.

I would recommend to think about it which kind your coaster should be.
A big one with big inversions, or a smaller one. More a stand alone one that can be seen from alot of angles/pathways or rather a terrain one that interacts more with the landscape and the queue and is partially hidden bwtween foliage, rocks etc.
Because specific layout won't work as good with any kind of scenary/theming and vice versa.

The fact while the coaster will be to fast is that you mixed both inversion types to close to each other.
A major problem in every RCT are only two sizes of loops and its importent to use the loops allways as a reference for the whole coaster.

To improve your first try, build the Zero-G one or two levels lower so that the train doens't loose that much speed and place a big loop instead of the small one. After that you can go to the left above/over the lifthill into a MCBR. After the MCBR you can use your Corkscrews, but as interlocking ones, like Kumba from Busch Gardens Tampa.
Than one or two helix parts and into the breakrun. Finish. Wink
In the end you'll have a typically L-shape layout that can work even dense themed or as a stand alone coaster.

Thanks for all of the advice/feedback. You are right, I am still learning. So I will continue to work on this. I will be changing the design of the roller coaster completely. I'm going to watch some more of Silvarrets Tutorials. And, I'll try some of the things you suggested. My theme will be an Alpine Village type kind of park. I'm working on some of the buildings. Here is the first small building I made http://rctgo.com/downloads/view/13147

I had some time so i build it up by my own and improved it like i said, to look if it works or if i was maybe wrong.

So here is your first Layout a little bit reworked.

For a bit better overall look i decided to color it and also add some pathwork, including Q-Line and exitway. Transfer/storage tracks are added, too.
Nothing special, only as a little suggestion how it could look in the end.
