The cars on the track did not make it over the hill. The people were going back and forth on the track
for a long time. It took awhile before anyone came.

I wonder, what is so scary about this?
I mean, it's not like it derailed or something, but there's so much panic.

I guess the engineers didn't factor in the total weight of the passengers correctly, and as a result, the car was too heavy to make it all the way to the top of the hill.

This particular accident was caused by someone's backpack falling onto the track. The coaster slowed down, to the point of valleying due to running over the bag.

Accidents like this is just one of the reasons why parks don't want people to bring their loose items on the rides. Disney forgoes this, for better or for worse.

California Screamin' is a well engineered coaster. Under normal circumstances, it would have completed its course no problem.

Silly me....
I didn't realize it happened for years ago. I should have looked at the date. I was curious about it so that is one reason I posted it (to see if anyone else new of it).

I see. It could have been worse then, could it not?

My guess wasn't entirely based on anything, no surprise I was far off the mark.
