Soaked! Industria

#1
Industria, a B&M sitdown Roller Coaster that will eventually have custom supports. The idea behind the coaster is a factory/industry setting/theme if you will. I came up with the idea, but I'm using Parallax - B&M Sit Down (BETA) custom track. I have looked up pictures on the web for ideas with buildings and other scenery. I had posted a different version of the coaster under the Sunberrie park post. But wanted to create a different post for this specific coaster. Feedback is always welcome and appreciated. I have used a variety of custom scenery objects. DasMatze Industry Age, Industry Age Additionshttp  www.customscenerydepot.com/cslist/index.php?user=63, Weber's Miscellaneous Objects 2 and MGP Curved Billboards http://velvetskyemusic.com/RCT3_files/Rct3_Land.html Updates for this coaster will be under this post. I'm not sure about the colors for the track so it may change.

I just wanted to make sure I was headed in the right direction with the custom supports with my previous update screenshot.

I started putting the custom supports on the roller coaster. I was running into some issues with the station I created. So I'm working on just the coaster and then will add the station again with the same theme in mind. I will be adding more scenery, but I want to get the coaster done first. Here is a screenshot of the supporting I've done so far.

Here are some more updates. Please note, I've been watching Silvarrets tutorials as I'm trying to support this. I had to make some adjustments. The loop still needs more supports. But I wanted to show my progress. Feedback appreciated. Thanks.

Lifthill with supports for evacuation and track (sorry the quality isn't very good)

Somethings I've learned already that may seem obvious to you guys...
Make the entire layout of the rc before putting replacement supports on (teehee)
Always include a MCBR and a transfer track.
Learn the right way to make interlocking corkscrews (because the one's in the game are just so rough). (confused)
I can use regular half loops to make cobra rolls (when I did it didn't turn out crooked like the one I had previously made)
Practice and get feedback.
So I will be creating another layout of the coaster after watching Silv's tutorials. So I won't post another screenshot
for a few days.

New layout includes a larger loop, an MCBR and a transfer track for Industria.
More details will be added. I wanted to show where I was at so far.

Supports are now spread out more.

I actually had to do a little re-work on the track again. Where I had the hill come to the MCBR it was way to fast. I felt like someone could fall off of it. So here is the newer version. And thanks for the feedback. (No supports yet).

The support that is split because of the placement of the track is 100% ok, although if this is a B&M (can't remember if it is) the supports would likely be angled to be more isometrically aligned in relation to the lifthill (in other words perpendicular).

By the way if I could draw an arrow to point at it I'd be pointing at the level-to-steep track piece at the first drop of your coaster, those are good if you're mid ride but if you're coming out of a MCBR or going down the first hill you'll want the level-to-medium then medium-to-steep pieces rather than the smooth one, it allows you to build up speed faster and you don't need it to be that smooth since you aren't going very fast.

As for the transfer track it's a bit too large (I think, I haven't seen too many irl). I don't think they come as wide as 5 tracks, I've only ever seen one [track segment for transfer] but then again this is RCT, if you can make it work go for it.

The only other piece of advice I have is to maybe make your lifthill a tad bit smaller, or to make your ride elements a tad bit larger, just bassed on the size difference it will be going through these unrealistically fast (most likely). You want to try making your elements just a tad bit smaller than the last one, for example if your lift hill is 110 feet, try 95-99 feet for your next element, this way it slows enough to take it smoothly.

Just some tips, hopefully they help Biggrin

Thanks for the tips. Here is a screenshot of the changes I made.

The very top of the lift hill is a 159.57 ft. When I did research on B&M coasters I saw heights up to 195ft. The large loop and cobra roll are around 116ft. Max speed 66.64. E: 8.03 I: 5.34 N: 3.00
