Efteling ride - Gondoletta

I'm trying to build a park with elements from 'De Efteling', so I downloaded the RCT3 package and installed it.
I would like to build the Gondoletta, so those pretty boats can sail along all kinds of nice scenes. However, it seems impossible to build a good track, because I can't figure out a way how to build it under water. At some point I did manage to build the track under water and the boats were floating... but I have no clue how to add the entrance. When I remove the water on which the boats are floating, then I  can't put it back. The water level will then remain below the track.
The problem is that it's is not an original 'water-track', it's an original coastertrack that should be built on land, I think?
Still, there are films on youtube showing Gondoletta in action and the comments on the download state that the set can be used to rebuild the ride.
Can anyone please give me some tips how to do this? Is it possible at all to build a full ride including entrance and exit?

Hi, I personally have no experience with this CTR, and little with De Efteling CS, but I do believe that it should at least be able to enter test mode and fully function in that in this situation. As for completing the ride so it can be opened... well I'm not too sure about that.

Did the video show guests on ride?

Well, I found a tutorial and the instructions sound easy enough... so I did exactly what is described, and hey... the track cán be built under water... At least as far as the point where I have to raise the track a bit so I can connect it to the base-station... then the water disappears and there is no way I can flood the entire space again. I can only fill it up just beneath the track (the rails will remain above the water even though they were built únder water), so the boats appear to be flying instead of sailing. And yes... the videos show guests who seem to be having a most wonderful time.... Very frustrating.

With it being a CTR would there be a way to clip the track through the ground so that you can create a "tunnel" which leads to and from the station? If possible I'd look into this, I'll keep doing research on my end but I haven't found much of anything yet. If/when I do I will be sure to let you know though.

I've tried creating tunnels and such... but I keep running into the 'water-level-problem'.
Must admit that I gave up creating the track... the rails simply don't like water! Instead of building the original Gondoletta I've decided to try one of the orinal RCT-water rides, perhaps Swanboats.

If you DO want to build a tunnel on water I suggest using MrPKI's Coaster tunnels. If positioned correctly with your boat track the water should stay there but the area above and around the water would be pitch black

oh wow... I finally figured it out! Yay!
My problem was that as soon as the rails would hit the water, the water would disappear and never return.
I had altered the options.txt file in the main RCT3 folder (c:\atari\rct3) and added the lines for terrain-handling, but I never realised (stupid me perhaps) that I should have edited the file that is in the Appdata-folder. So that did the trick and it's working great finally!

I'm glad to hear it worked out! My searches weren't turning up a whole lot unfortunately, so I'm glad you were able to figure it out.
