I seem to be having an issue with billboards. They keep crashing my game when I go to use them. How do I fix this?

I had this problem last year, I researched a fix from google at some point but can't remember the steps. It has something to do with the picture folder on your computer. The file name of the folder somehow gets deleted so you have to make another folder with the exact same name and add your rct3 pictures in there. I put mine on the desktop. Oh if you uninstall the game and re install it you have to redo the fix?
