They may look like that in 50 years from now
USA Fun And Blast Is great Company to plan and design any Park so if any parks need an buyer then USA Fun And Blast is there to help.
I know this thread is old but I have actually some ideas for future roller coasters. I have always thought of Roller Coasters as the closest experience to flying a fighter jet without any training needed or without spending big bucks. The G's experienced in roller coasters are insane, the inversions the drops etc, it all simulates the flight of a fighter... any pilot will tell you that (I'm majoring in Aerospace Engineering); some people might think that an F1 car is closer but I digress, in F1 there are no drops and no inversions, sure it is way faster and the technology is closer to that of a fighter but still Roller Coasters offer a closer experience.
So what I think is that in the future roller coasters will implement Aerospace technology; I think we will see covered roller coasters, meaning that they will have some sort of windshield and roof. I know that's not very traditional but if they want to reach higher altitudes and higher speeds, it will be necessary. For example, to ride Formula Rossa (fastest Roller Coaster in Ferrari World, Abu Dhabi) people are required to war goggles because of the wind. I think in the future Aerodynamic will play a major role in roller coasters because they will be a lot faster. Nowadays, roller coasters are everything but aerodynamic, specially stand-up, inverted and 4th dimension; aerodynamic roller coasters will allow for higher speeds!
I think that they should add coasters which have more inversions with greater speeds AND the fastest coaster with an inversion should be very fast. Right now its Furious Baco at 83.9mph
I thought it would be cool to make a real theme park. And instead of making your typical b&m or vekoma or intamin, you get a custom created coaster, like you could have an inverted coaster and a sit down coaster, with the tracks connected, and the cars twisting around each other. I thought of a zip line called "Aquareo", aqua for water and areo for air. The concept, is a zip line that has one of those roll out cords, and you dangle from the cord in a harness. As you go down the line, you are lowered more and more, and at the end, you are hanging about 8 feet from the zip line and going really fast. The zip line stops, and you keep going. You make and arch going up. When you face the sky, you're harness drops you out, and you fall. But you fall into a pool, not on the ground. It's a mixture of air and water. It's not a roller coaster, but you could find it at a theme park.

maybe an intamin launched coaster like stealth but you see the lights in the station as you are facing backwards then GO GO GO lights flash green and your launched backwards 200-300 ft in the air where you slowly make it over the top hat slowly before plummeting 200-300 ft back down but backwards. A rollback would be like experiencing a normal drop and the backwards drop would be like experiencing a rollback. Good idea, and could you see this in the future or even nowadays?
Maybe a corkscrew coaster with a compact suspended attached underneath, that would be cool right?
