Some intresting info there m8....i always thought that it was mainly dependant on the Graphics card, how wrong ive been.Im gonna purchase a new PC in the next year or so, and make sure its 3.4ghz or so.Whats the maximum speed, ive only seen a 3.4 available, surely software developers have got these super comps that run at incredible rates.

The game is dependant on having a good graphics card, but at the same time you need an excellent CPU to back it up. As I said before, there's no point having a Radeon 9200 running with a 3.4 Ghz P4. That graphics card will slow you down, things need to be ballanced.

As for the clockspeed, Intel have released 3.8 Ghz Single Core P4's. Not sure how they perform, but they are prolly off the pace of any AMD product. If you buy a AMD Athlon 64 X2 4800 for example, you get two processors running @ 2.4 Ghz, combined to make 4.8 Ghz. On paper, that has to be better Smile I need someone who has one to go away and test that for me
