Colourful Country 3/6/07! NEWS ABOUT THE STAND UP COASTER.

#31
Looks great. I love the way your making this park with all the weird interviews and stuff. Keep up the good work!

How many seasons will you do this park for? Cause it would be great if you went into the future as well... e.g. 2010

I hope you have read of the shocking news about Colourful County, that the park will shut and be sold off to private developers! In a statement made by Taussauds, they revealed their plans for the parks.

"Colourful County has recently seen neglect from many visitors and staff alike. After the terrain forming disaster where 3 of our staff fell down and broke their necks we decided that it must be the final chapter in the Colourful County Book. So we have sold the park and will use the remaining rides and scenery on our new park......."

The Grand Re-Opening of Colourful County:
Is here

Yes, It is back. After the p[ark collasped in 1985, it stood droment for over 5 years, most of the attrcations had gone. But quite a few remained as the park wanted to keep them in storage to be used in other parks. Until one day Mr Stevens came along and brought the whole chain of parks. Meaning that Colourful County could be restored.

You join me in 1993, work on renovating the park began in 1990, and since thn the park has gone from strength to strength.

This is the new wooden coaster; it's now the park' signature ride thanks to it's size. It's the biggest coaster in the park and is right next to the entrance.

Here's a few more pics of it.
Graceful sitting next to the park's fountains

Huge isn't it.

No really it's huge.

This is the new space area. After deciding that the old one was too dark, the park planted trees. It looks much better now (and a avocado sight more realistic)

The new coaster In the land of tomorrow. It's a wildmouse and it looks amazing throwing riders down steep hills and through tight turns.

I have heard a few rumours that the parks is to add a new themed area or maybe even a spruce up of an old area.

By the way if you wonder ewhat the hell this is all about I'd avise you to read from page one and not from now.

To 1994; a big year for coasters, especially Colourful County.

Thanks for the positive feedback. I have decided not to use any custom scenery for this park. I think it would ruin the way I haven't used any yet. Mind you I do have a few plans for the rest of the park which would look great with some CS; but I'l think about that when I get to it.

Oh yeah Kia have planned a sponsorship deal. I've just have a look at one of the park's plans for next year...

....Or maybe I'm seeing wrong....

Here's a clue

Ford Focus ST is AN amazingly Drab Car very UninsPiring.

Put it that way and I think you'll understand....(Why the frick I'm using so many riddles I'll never know but hey it adds to the suspense)

Do you all remember The Stand up Coaster I mentioned last time I spoke. Well; erm. It's gone. The Stand Up Wildmosue coaster did not pass it's health and safety test; the ride was too old and battered riders at very high speeds.

The final nail in it's coffin though was the price of a new emergency Stairlift to evacuate riders from the ride, £80,000 and the park decided that after some consideration during the closed season. That the ride must be removed and replaced.

So what did they decide on to replace it? Well it certainly wasn't another coaster. No something alot tamer and a bargain. It's a preused ride from Thorpe Park. Mind you the garish colour scheme had to go! on to the pics...

Deconstruction starts

Finally the lift and the first drop are removed.

Bang! and the coaster is gone!

The old and tired station sitting there; alone....

The new ride. It's Thorpe Park's log flume. Midnyou I have to say I love the ride's new paint job!

Mmmm traditional Logflume colours look better all the time.

An overview

This was the other new attraction it was installed during the closed season and all of these rides had to move....

Invertednesss Rocks my socks. New for 1995! Ghoul Chaser. Theming and buildings are said to be built soon. We hope. I can't wait to ride the park's new signature ride.

Wow That;s huge; yes it is. I love the way that it crosses over the pathways.

Next Update 1995:
  • Theming for Ghoul buster
  • New Area: The Tropics
  • And a BIG surprise....
