Fox Studios World: My second RCT2 park!

#31
Incorporating MidWestBoyInLA's custom roadway/parking scenery, this is what I've put together right now.

The reason why the regular parking slots, and the light poles are purple, is because it's part of my plan to colour code sections of the parking lot. Basically the same idea as having big numbers or letters posted on some poles to make it easier to remember where you parked. I'll be using many different colours as I get more of the parking lot done... or as our British friends say, the car park. My girlfriend is British, so I had to say that last statement.

Thoughts?

The second Parking Lot image:
This looks the best by far. I like the idea of "color code" for the parking lot. Cool idea! Only one thing I would change though... Being that the handicapped parking is located here, maybe it would be a good idea to keep the "blue" color code for this parking area.

Also, the trash bin is sitting in the footpath, blocking the way. If you moved the trash bins, just around the corner, (back up along the path and to the left,) you would still have the visual detail, and the bins wouldn't "block" the footpath.

First Parking Lot image:
The parking stall paint stripes are not on the tarmack. They're "floating" just above the path. Being that the lines are so close, I didn't think that they simply "built" at the usual clearance level height. This makes me think that the walls are preventing the lines from laying directly on the surface.

Also, the gap between the paths, used as parking stalls, is much too wide to be used as paint stripes. But where the walls encompass each section, where a strip of uncovered ground runs the circumfrence of the parking lot, (not the stall makings themselves,) the checkerboard texture looks best. Personally, I would of experemented with the yellow grid, but that's just me.

The lot as it is in the second image looks the best. Very good work.

Not much of an update, but wanted to show you what I am up to. Truth be told, I'm not up to much, simply because I have a lot going on right now.

Nonetheless, here's a taste of where I am in the park. I'm adding in the amphitheatre, which is located in a somewhat hidden private section of the park, near the main entrance. I got mostly favourable reviews regarding the amphitheatre I made in my previous FSW project before it got lost, so I am basically copying it.

The more I look at the amphitheatre, the more I start to think it doesn't look as good as it should. So, in other words, this isn't the final version of it. I definitely will be changing it around. Any particular ideas?

I'd place some sort of substitute, like ferns, for the ornimental shrubbery. (We are the knights that say "Nei!") The bushes that are there, seem like they would block the view.

Also, the audience area might go a bit larger. And I do have some 1/4 tile "speaker objects" that actually vibrate the speaker cones. Those might look a lot better than the abstract theming you have now.

Some 1/4 tile two-tone blocks might work well as stage lighting. But you might want something that works out better with the 45 degree angle to the grid. So, a triangular block might work well instead.

Lighting needs a support structure, of course. Again having to build it on a 45 deg. to the grid makes the object selection difficult. Usually a grid of full tile fence & 1/4 til3 fence, (of the same style,) might work to the advantage.

I'll try and post an image of what I have in mind, (pictures are worth a 1,000 words,) then maybe you can use that, or create another version all together.

Not to spam the topic, but I created a few "Lighting Rigs" for a stage, specifically with the 45 degree angle to the grid that you have already going for yourself. I hope it gives you some ideas.
