Well, I am not bad at making coasters, and wasn't bad in RCT1, but now in RCT3 I'm having trouble with getting all the scenery and terrain looking good and having the rides blend with the environment. Any tips?
-Thanks! Also, anyone know anywhere to download park templates so that they have all the terrain edited without any rides?
-Thanks

Yeah, this is one of the tougher aspects of park building. It took a while to get the feel for thee land tool. Just raising land is alright, but until you smooth it over, it just looks chunky & spikey. Smoothing takes a lot of the rough edges off, and as long as you're in scenario editor, you can do as much as you like.
My biggest problem was trying to get the rides, booths and such to merge correctly with the midway footpaths. Sometimes they just don't want to line up quite right along the tile edges. You get one area fixed, then it seems that the problem just moves over to another area or something.
About all you can do is keep working with the smoothing tool and bringing the land up to a cirtain level that might help out. But it is a lot of work and it's best to fix those problems in an editor mode, than it is to try and correct things while your park is actually running.
