Tropical Storm

Christmas is soon be approaching, so what better way to celebrate than to make a completely un-christmassy coaster?

I present to you Tropical Storm, a jungle island sort of themed ride with lots of inversions, terraforming and conveniently placed rocks. I only started it this morning because I was bored, but I really want to actually finish something this time. There's nothing really special about the layout, it isn't huge, and there won't be an incredible amount of theming, but I just want to get something done for a change so I can make a brilliant video.

However, to make this coaster stand out just a little bit from the crowd, the video will be set during a huge storm (hence the name), so all the screenshots I present to you will be in the rain. Making the video will be a challenge if I have to film the whole thing during a storm with the lighteneing and everything timed to the music, but I shouldd be able to get all this finished pretty soon.

Anyway, onto the screenshots so far:

^ The zero-G-roll and cobra roll, which is the only section of the ride I shall be showing you so far.

^ Another view. There will be more trees than what you see so it looks like a jungle, but they're the only ones I've put in so far.

^ An overview of the cobra roll. Zordork's stone formations will be used a lot in this ride... Wink

Like I said, it's nothing special, but hopefully when I start adding some waterfalls and things in it will look more interesting.

Thanks for the comments. Smile

Here's another picture at night, but in a rather interesting format. You'll have to wait a couple of minutes for it all to load, so just be doing something else in the meantime.

^ I've added some more lighting to the cobra roll, and included some lightning into the image so you can see what the whole ride experience in the video will be like.

If you wait while the picture loads you will see it's an animate GIF with lightining. The quality isn't so good for some reason though.

^ I used Macromedia Fireworks and Flash actually...

I have an update (not a GIF this time though, as it won't be fair to the dial-up users):

^ The final bend of the coaster, not revealing too much but showing most of the ride in the background.
