Welcome to Mr Neil's Farm Park

#1
1969 was the first year of Mr Neil's Farm Park, it was a long and hard process to get planning permission, until 19th November 1968, when the council approved our application to build a small Farm Park on the remains of an old quarry.

The park opened on the 1st April 1969 and by Mid day we had over 1000 visitors, many of those enjoyed our two rides: The Teacups and the Merry Go Round. These rides were ground breaking for their time and had lots of happy guests ride them.

Then when I was 56, my Husband My Neil died, and the park fell into dis repair as I could no longer run the park. It was then that the park closed, in 1975, until the 1st of 2003, the park stood still, and no one dared enter.

But in August of 2003, a group of Developers, decided to buy the land from me, making me a very rich Widdow and I'd hope my husband would be very proud.

Here's one of the pictures in 1969, of our Park, closed ready to open to the general public, with the new coaster, half way through being built.

Next time I see you all, I'll be updating you on what the new developers are doing to my lovely little park, until then have a nice day,
From
Beatrice Neil.
