Lol, while im all for websites needing adverts to get by, if I continue to browse the RCT3X home page and forums any longer I may break down in an epiletic fit!

The adverts are simply too in your face, lol. I've also won a laptop 8 times in the space of 12 minutes, cool I guess? Doubtful...

Joking aside, the adverts do seam a bit obtrusive, and the site gets my pop up blocker working overtime... Is it really necessary?

How about the ads at the bottom of the forum?
What about the ads at the top of the main site? Should they be text links?

Most of the adverts blend into the site well...

It's the content of the adverts tho, as there was one that always keeps coming up, and flashes to get your attention quite volently, saying you've won a laptop. It's so irritating, it takes the focus off the site's conent somewhat, as your eyes can't help but view it... So maybe there's some way you can control the content the adverts display? That would be better...

Loose the pop-up's tho, they are just down right annoying regardless of content. It sounds a tad harsh prehaps, but when incuding adverts into my site, I chose them very carefully, and will avoid pop-up adverts at all costs...

I can see what you are doing tho, and as a webmaster myself fully respect that, so don't take my comments in a personal way

I dont really have direct control over the flash/animation ad's unless I figure out a way. I can make it so no flash ads are shown, so ill give that a go

Those are ok, some are useful! I now have a new screensaver as a result of clicking one that was interesting...

Keep those, they are un-obtrusive...

All excessive flashing ad's should now have gone and other annoying ones, which you cant really ignor.

The best adverts I feel have to be Google Ads, they are not intrusive, look quite smart, and often advertise you something that you may be interested in e.g eBay auctions and such.

I'm just wondering if the averts would look better right at the botom of the page after "Powered By MyBB - Copyright © 2002-2007 MyBB Group ..." as they're not really part of the forums much just a little way of getting money.

On another subject is this why the forums re painfully slow to load sometimes? I mean I'm on 1 meg broadband (4 Meg on Friday Wooo!) and the forums take ages to load?

Yeah, I would probably agree that Goooogle Adsense is the best, but as we got banned (for no reason!!), we cant use it :x

Im not sure about the slow loading times :S Im on 512k at the moment (16meg as soon as we get our MAC code!), and I havent experienced anything strange, what times do you experience this at?

I will also move the ad's where you said and see what they are like
