Hello, good fellows. I am playing RCT3 for a while now and I am gaining lots of fun out of it. Right until now I did not experinece any perfomrance problems with the game. But after installing the Wild!-Addon, my Performance dropped down.
As soon as the game switches to night mode, my frame rate drops from around 15 to 20 fps to 2 fps or below. At first I tried lowering the graphic resolution, but it did not have any effect on my problem. When I tried to find out, how low of a resolution I would have to set my game to in order to play it with more than 10 fps, I had to go down to 800x600x32, turn of all graphic options and disable all advanced graphic settings leaving me with an empty screen only showing the interface, the landscape, the lights and the coaster cars. No more scenery, peeps, pathways, fences, nothing.
My computer meets the necessary requirements, as I am using an AMD Athlon 3200+ with 1 GB RAM and a Radeon 9600. I am using Up To Date drivers for my video card (currently running on Omega drivers, but there seems to be no difference in performance), and my system is a Windows XP Pro SP2 with all security packs enabled. I also disabled all unneccessary software to get as much memory as possible.
A DXDiag log can be provided if absolutely neccessary. The log shows no critical errors, though.
Help would be greatly appreciated, since I want to play at night and enjoy my fireworks. I just isn't the same watching fireworks at daylight...
