RTC3 Deluxe Not working

#1
Seemed to install ok, but getting the runtime error when I try and run it.

The error says:
Runtime Error!
Program ...\...\RCT3plus.exe
abnormal program termination

Have tried:
  • running as admin
  • turning off read-only on rct3.exe and RCT3plus.exe
  • searching atari support
  • downloading securom rct3.exe which doesn't exist anymore
  • switching compatibility to win xp sp2
  • switching compatibility to disable visual themes
  • switching compatibility to disable desktop composition
  • downloading and installing retail-patch1_eu.exe patch - which didn't recognise my install (said that retail eu wasn't installed).

dxdiag at: http://pastebin.com/7EZpKR5C

Any other tips?

have you downloaded the c++ runtime error fix rct3plus or the No CD version of rct3plus?

Also, have you done all the normal stuff like Windows Updates, Driver Updates, Spyware/Spamware/Virus etc.

I tried to read your DX report but it is coming back with an error.

The fix is here:
https://support.securom.com/analysis.php

You have to download their utility, run it, and upload the file. Then they it will automatically download the patch you need.

Seems to be a problem with the new Windows O/S's and the copyright protection program, SecuRom.
