I remember ages ago a thread containing a link to some awesome geek who had made custom pitch black walls for dark rides... where is this? it's been about 5 years since I've had a play with RT3 and can't find the walls. something must of screwed up after my reinstall.
doing a dark ride, this I guess is the classic way of doing it.
as you can see there's a faux 2D wall. it looks good, it's got a moute and everything lol
as you can see in 2nd pic I've build the main ride (a spinner coaster) in a nice pit so it doesn't look to weird from the front (too hight that is) is this the best way to do dark rides?
PS, I seem to remember, even with a giant black wall canvas over it, it doesn't generate shadow? so you can still see the track. is there anywhere to make the ride experience like pitch black?
ok Ive found the dark ride pumper pack. but it hasn't installed properly.
I unziped both files to desktop, ran the exe. change the directry name from C/programfiles'''' to G/programfiles because that's where it is. Then it moaned. I looked at the orignal path and noticed it was to unzip in the last folder of 'themed' but my RTC3 main folder didn't have a themed so I made a new folder and called it themed. after that it unziped. Went into the game, looked up the list of walls but it wasn't to be found in there what have I done wrong?
