I don't think they have many violent tornadoes in Maine.

I didn't know where the park was, maybe a hurricane.

Well there was recently Irene that hit up there. But it is still very rare. The storms up there are pretty bad though. I have family up there, and once there was a terrible severe storm coming our way from the Wal-Mart we were at and my grandmother started freaking out. As soon as we got back to their house it started to pour down rain. It was so thick you could only see a pure white cloud out the windows.
So in other words, a fallen tree on top of one of the buildings or Timber Runners supports could make for a major plot twist!

Well I just had to venture into the park tonight. It was Fireworks Fiesta at Oakwood.

I got there early with some friends to get different P.O.Vs of the show.

Right before the show started, they closed Sawmill Falls. I guess the show was right in that area.

The show started at 9:00. It was a really great show! One of my friends got a shot of the start from the top of Century.

Another got a less clear one from Timber Runner.

I had access to an attic that led to the roof of the Season Pass Center, I got some unique pics.

On an off topic note I found this old post-card like thing from the 80s before the park went abandoned in the attic. I wonder how it got up here?

Have a great weekend!
