Some newbie questions

Big problems with probably simple answers:

~1~ I hear you people and also on other fora talk about opening times of your park, like that's it's opened only in night. How do you change these?

~2~ I once downloaded a park, and it was raining in there. Now in my own parks, I only have sun and sometimes small clouds. How can I change the wheater options?

~3~ I downloaded some custom scenery, put it in themed/custom scenery folder or sth. like that. Now when I try to use it in game, it crashes and there's a message saying: No :sid for :svd. What does this mean, and what can I do about it?

I'ld like to hear answer pretty fast Biggrin

Click on the entrance gate to pull up the park information screen, and somewhere in that window is the park times Smile I'm not sure if that's only in the scenario builder or the sandbox as well; I think it's in any.

If I remember correctly, it's in the park setup during the scenario builder. Not sure if you can change this in sandboxes or not.

Did you follow the instructions with the download?

I'll try 1
I'll try 2
I won't try 3, as there weren't any :P

>>> I downloaded some packages, somewhere from the Atari forum I believe, from someone named Shyguy. So I downloaded them, extracted a few from there .zip state, and I put them in the themed/style/custom scenery map.
That's all that was in that topic, I did it, I failed. I searched the internet, I came up with only things about putting it in themed/style/custom scenery.
And I don't even know what :sid and :svd means, it's driving me nuts!

I've tried to change time, it's only possible in scenario.

I've tried to change weather, I couldn't find a button for it I belief.

I'm still not sure about the custom scenery.

If I have to edit within 2 hours or so, plz tell me, 'cause I'm too lazy to search for a rules section.

For help with your custom scenery problems... I had that problem alot, but MAKE sure that the zipped folder is in my docs and try a couple times extracting it until it works.

-Good Luck!

You mean like putting the zip file in the same folder and then keep extracting till it works? ok, that sounds easy. Thnx Wink

I tried it, I unzipped the .zip files over and over for about 6 times, and it still doesn't work.

Correction in fault error: No :svd for :sid.

With the weather- go to scenario builder and change the long term weather (like tropical or temperate)

For the CS
1.Do you have wild! and/or soaked! installed?
2.What CS pack of shy guy's is it?
3.Once you have unzipped it OPEN the first folder and move THAT folder (that's probably the prob.)

Ok, thanks for the tips on scenario building thingies, as I was already wanting to make my own map for scenario.

For the CS
1. Both
2. All of them Biggrin
3. You mean having it like:
rct3/style/themed/[name_of_pack]
instead of
rct3/style/themed/custom scenery/[name_of_pack]

Thnx Biggrin

For the custom scenery, usually you need to take the folder inside of the one that contains the extracted files. Basically, you copy the folder that actually has files in it... not the one that just contains a folder.
