CFRs Crashing

#1
Is it just me, or am I the epitome of bad luck with Roller Coaster Tycoon 3. I used a readme from a CRF file on this site to install a Flat Ride I have. And I'm getting a dialogue that reads: no :svd no :sid or something along those lines.

As soon as I click ok "Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 has stopped working" and the game crashes.

Here's what I did: I went into Program Files (x86)/Atari/RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 Platinum/Style and made a folder called Custom. I put the Flat Ride folder into the Style/Custom Folder. Did I do something wrong? And if not, why the crashing?

Sometime you have to make an other map in ´custom´. Read the Readme file very careful!

Actually the Flat Ride was different from the Readme File. I have two CFRs that are crashing with this error message. One is a Huss Magic my friend gave me (but he didn't keep the read me) and the other is the BlackRaider Dancefloor. Which I couldn't find on the CSO Depot so I had to google it and found it on a random German site and the folder didn't come with a Readme for that.

But how would I make another map to get the files up and running?

Flat rides are a bit of diffecult to install. You really need a readme file if you have downloaded a flatride.

It's because you need to make a new folder in "Custom" with the name of the creator. It has to be the exact lowercase and uppercase letters, so read the text file in the download carefully for it. Then put the folder in the creators names folder. You won't have to worry about this any longer when installing flat rides by this person, but you do if you get a different creators CFR.
