How do you delete the big ugly entrance thing at the front of the park in sandbox mode?

While Drew and Alexwohlbruck are correct in that you can't do it in sandbox mode, it can be done in scenario editor. After launching RCT3, select the tools option and then the scenario editor, Open your park in Scenario Editor and you'll see an entrance tab on the left with all the other scenery tabs. In scenario editor park entrances can be changed and deleted just like other scenery.

Try saving the scenario mode without the entrance and moving the file to the sandbox parks in your documents.
