Don't pass out yet, Sumdude. This project is not finished !Biggrin
I really wish I could add a signature. However, I found very difficult to sign on my PC screen without scratching it. Should I use a different type of pen?

I made tests for the roof and exterior supports of the mammoth Space Simulator. This is the result so far, altough I might change later depending on other experiments (and hopefully my computer won't crash!:lolSmile
We will assume that the steel beams are stong and light enough to support their own weight...:whistling: ...
But Hey! This is science fiction!

It's called DasMatze-Domes. A small set that only contains that geodesic dome in 16 separate elements. This alowed me to split that 'Head' in half just like a Klingon Imperial Battleship. I think you will find it at RCT3X. I had it for a while... Vodhin's web page didn't have it last time I checked...

It's called VodhinsGirdersNGlass. Nice and complete sets of structural supports and glass panels (rides and some objects become invisible behind the glass though...). At Vodhins Community site.

Work is in slow progress on Mothership. Top section is completed, side panels are being built, interior has been modified for peeps accomodation. New ride! Black walls have been removed for the rest of construction. Having visual access to ground surface is essential. Hard to see what's going on in the dark!

First a view from the park entrance. This kind of angle will not be possible once the exterior walls are reinstalled.
Then top view, side view and new transpotation giving peeps direct access inside to the station.

The new robotic coaster ride called Blue Ribbon will make better use of the available space inside than Discus, and will be a great nausiating asset to the recreation area as well !
