The Blackhawk - There are very few pictures of this ride, and from what I can tell, there's no scenery at all. As a result, there isn't much I can say about the ride since I know nothing about it.

Purple People Eater - I enjoyed riding this one when I didn't feel like I was going to get whiplash--my favorite part being the on-ride photo section at the apex of an inversion--but it didn't seem as if the layout had as much effort put into it as it could have. Some of the earlier, smaller drops felt unusually intense, and the lift hill did a double back when it could have just kept going.

American Steel Eagle - This is the one that puzzled me the most. For the amount of effort that was clearly put into dressing up the ride, the track itself doesn't appear to be much more than a series of the same drop over and over at descending altitudes with an inversion here and there. This is the impression I gathered from riding the coaster as well as from looking at the screenshots. The scenery and supports were done at what look like a professional level, but the track, in contrast, seemed repetitive, mundane, and predictable even while riding it--three things that a roller coaster should not be. If this were a scenery-only competition, you would have won my vote.

Twilight Dragon - The ride seemed a little bit short, but both the scenery and the track were done well, and it's that combination that wins this competition. Although it is not my favorite of your designs, it is my favorite of all of which were submitted in Round 191, and thus, it has my vote.

Thanks Terry for the feedback. My inspiration was your RCT2 coaster Typhoon. I liked a lot of the elements that you had there so I built a RCT3 inspired version. I was trying to compact the ride into a smaller footprint, thus the double back lift hill. Still working with track layouts to improve excitement while keeping the intensity and nausea under control.

Like I said earlier, if I get even 1 vote I'd be surprised.

I wish I could claim responsibility for your inspiration, but Typhoon was actually created and uploaded by naveisawesome. blush
Now if you had said Formula Ace, I would have been truly honored to have inspired another builder.

If you would like to work on coaster mechanics, I would suggest starting off in RCT2, since RCT3's intensity gauge, from what I've noticed, is a little bit more lenient. Although you can't "ride" your creations the way you can in RCT3, you can watch the train as it goes over hills and drops, and you can see exactly how fast the train is going at any given moment without looking at a graph. I also find the coaster editor to be much more user-friendly, but that's just me.

Personally I really much prefer the RCT3 editor. I find it more intuitive to double click than to click then press a button to build. Or maybe it's just nostalgia glasses and me being introduced to RCT3 first at the age of 9 before I ever saw anything of RCT2. But that's just me XD

( I prefer RCT3's physics, the acceleration due to gravity feels too fast given the friction of coasters in my opinion, 9.8m/s^2 constant acceleration only applies to vertical free fall. As for coaster mechanics themselves, I actually liked how RCT1 and 2 gave high intensity ratings and pointed out when G forces exceed normal human limits. It's weird when a corkscrew coaster I made in RCT3 pulls 9 Gs and the Intensity level is 7 below a multi-inversion wing rider that pulled 4 Gs yet got the same rating. Wow, longer side note than the main note! Biggrin )

Okay, here is what I think,

THE BLACKHAWK: I can't really see much, and there is no scenery whatsoever, so this is out.

PURPLE PEOPLE EATER: This is not too bad, but compared to the other two, could use some work.

AMERICAN STEEL EAGLE-INVERTED EDITION: This is basically the same as the other one, and is not very original. No offense Rollercoaster-fan, but try something a little more creative!

TWILIGHT DRAGON: This is so cool, Chimalion70005 does it again! Gets my vote!
