Gay Marriage: Legalize?

I think it's rediculous, especially having to hide my sexuality from other people at school because they are too immature to accept that there are LGBTQ people, and that i'm one of them. The way i see it is that we should be able to do whatever we want. Maybe not in a church, because Christians are pretty pathetic about homo/bisexuals, but it should be legalised, definately. It is NOT in any way a sin! I think all you are complete morons, we are in the 21st century not 31AD so get over yourselves, no need to bash the bible here. You're pretty much extremists, looking into your religious book to find stuff against those you dislike.

It is most definately acceptable in my opinion, and I don't see any valid argument against it at all. Britain are moving the right way, homosexual marriage is legal here, but i want the whole world to allow homosexual marriage, we are still people and we still want love, even if it is of the same sex. Just because a guy is attracted to another guy, he can't find happiness in marriage? Ridiculous in my opinion.

In case you missed it this sub forum is named: All That

Which is under: Everything Else

Which has the sub tag: Ever wanted to talk about anything? Do it here

If this discussion had been posted in one of the other sub forums that pertain to RCT3 or NL then it would be in the wrong place.

Quick question for Blu. Why can people do what ever they want as long as they are not harming someone?

The issue I have with the bible saying what is okay and not okay with gay marriage is that you have to realize that the bible is fully up to interpretation.

None of us were there when the bible was written, and no one single thing written in there seems to be practiced nowadays when it comes to what a person can and can't do. For some reason, gay marriage seems to the be the only issue that Christians are having trouble with, and meanwhile I'm certain they eat pork and wear mixed fabrics.

One religious book should not be allowed to infringe upon a lifestyle, and I'm sure you don't see victims marrying their rapists these days either.

In my opinion, nothing's wrong if you really really love each other. But the bottom line is, if you really love each other, how can a same-sex couple bear a child? I'm not saying I'm pro-gay marriage nor anti-gay marriage. As I've said above, it's just my opinion ♥

Many same sex couples have children. Lesbian couples use a sperm donor and gay men use a surrogate. Others sometimes adopt unwanted children.

Many straight couples never have children. Many do not want children, some can't have them due to infertility problems so they use the same avenues that a gay couple can use to have a child.

I have the same problem as you guys. I am a Messianic Jew and I follow the law, which has to do with the pork eating and homosexuality. I don't eat pork nor believe in gay marriage, yet Christians eat pork and don't believe in gay marriage, which infuriates me.

To AzoRctMan: You are RIGHT. A lesbian or gay may be able to adopt a child but it is not their offspring. It is anothers offspring.

Lesbians can and do get pregnant. Being gay does not mean a person is infertile.

A lesbian chooses a sperm donor and is artificially inseminated which causes a pregnancy of her very own biological child. That would be her offspring.

A gay man chooses a surrogate mother and egg donor. His sperm is used to artificially inseminate the egg. This creates his offspring.

The other parent of the couple then legally adopts the baby.

This can be done twice. Once with each partner if they want to have two kids. Then they have their own offspring.

This is not something new. It has been done for many decades now.

Just saying that gays cannot have their own offspring in no way makes that statement true.

It's not so much a question of reproduction, but how same-sex couples are just as good enough parents as straight couples.
