[REL] WonderCoaster - B&M Standup

#1
WonderCoaster

A small project, nothing too important. This is WonderCoaster a B&M Standup, with a basic layout. I will try to make it look Silvarret-ish, even though I'm just doing this for fun. Here are some photos of the layout and supports. Tell me what you think! Smile

For future updates, I'd say you should avoid the weird box-y supports by using 6H or 5H beams.
Also, don't use square supports in the 45 degree turns, use 2H or 3H beams instead, it's a lot more realistic.

So basically don't use any Box Supports.

Other than that though looking good! Love the look of the layout and the first pic looks great!

It looks like the coaster is holding up the supports Smile, I noticed that you really love 45° corners, but listen to Sketchy and make them without any corners in between 2 nodes.

Other then that, i love the first drop!

I like the layout, it looks nice and smooth. But the some of the supports look a bit weird, even if they weren't meant to be realistic. I agree with Sketchy about the supports in the 45-degree turn, it'll look more realistic, and the inversion supports seem kinda awkward that way. Other than that it looks quite good, and I like how you took that first shot. Looking forward to seeing more.

UPDATE 2

I know that you can't really tell in the pictures, but the 45-degree turn supports have been changed, it looks better with one beam, and there aren't any 1h or 2h beams for diagonal centered beams, so i am stuck with only the pole, however, it looks better than before!

I have put in some work on the station, path, and queue line! I like the buildings, i may add some more buildings and make them some odd shapes to make a small village, or i may leave it like this, i don't really know... Tell me what you think!

I would recommend using CPisco's steel chaos if you want short centered beams on the 45* curve. Wink

I think the buildings look more cool with windows and details. I think that is a good idea for future buildings for this coaster Wink
It's definitely not a bad start! I like the idea of a village, it'll make the surrounding area look much nicer. Also, the paths are quite nice so far. Looking forward to seeing more.

Chim, you gotta start making your coasters on some more hilly land :/ completely flat ground is boring.
