Soaked! Giant Flume Problem

Hi,
I have a problem with splashes in the Giant Flume Ride from RollerCoaster Tycoon 3.
When a Lift Chain is placed underwater, and a boat is riding over it it starts splashing, Can someone help? I have some screenshots

To be honest I think that's just a weird glitch. The reason its happening though is because you're increasing the boat's speed through the water with the chain. Naturally this is going to cause splashing to simulate the increase in wake size.

If i decrease the chain speed, will it stop?
