Profile Picture Animation?

Those are animated .gifs. Instead of just 1 picture, they are layers (or frames) of several different ones. There are dozens of ways to make them, from image editing programs like Photoshop CS3 or GIMP, to web based interfaces that let you add several still pictures into 1 animated one. Once the image has been made all you have to do it link to it or upload, its almost like any other profile picture.

Yeah, I tryed uploading a .gif, but it didn't do the animation...

If the original picture was bigger than the size limit, it will not be animated after being resized.

Yeah, I tried putting a .gif of Dr. Octagonapus in, but after being resized, it didn't work.
