So I ventured into the worst kept park in history. Hearton Woods is a nightmare that has already happened.


The entrance building is just a small pointless building sitting in the middle of the tar pathway.


The Mainstreet is where one of the problems lies. The big white building is all boarded up because park management doesn't want to spend a dime restoring it. I'm surprised the authorities haven't ordered its demolition.


The Tilt-A-Whirl is a terrible experience. It is rough and it needs some maintenance. Makes me nauseous just looking at the thing, and the sign looks like it was slapped together with stencils and an unsteady hand.


The Wine Cellar is a building that doesn't even belong in a mainstreet area. More like medieval times. Who even had the Idea to build this contrasting structure?


The carousel at the end of the street isn't event open half the time due to ride malfunctions. It might have been the best ride at the park. I didn't get to ride it though.


An unfinished park project that was supposed to open 2 years ago. Its just an ugly eyesore sticking out of a cleared plot of land.

Worst 20 bucks I've ever spent for an "amazing experience". The only amazing experience I had was looking at the autumn leaves fall from the trees. I'm asking for my money back when I leave!

How dare that scoundrel James Thompson destroy our park reputation. Our attendance has dropped since he released that new blog entry. Although I hate to admit he is right. So I have a major plan for the next few years, in 4 different phases.


Phase one. Replace the Tilt-A-Whirl and the sign. This will be done during the rest of the park season, and will be relatively cheap.


Phase two. Restore the interior to the restaurant, this will be done during the off season, and will cost some money.


Phase three. Demolish the Wine Cellar, and build a new structure better themed to the area. This will be done in the following season from Phase 2, and will cost most of the current park funds.


Phase four. Finish the Timber Wolf Project, and add another flat ride. This will be done after Phase 3, and will have to be done over a 2 year period in order to make enough money.


With this James brought up another great point, I hate to admit. We need to up the maintenance, and will continuously cost us. As the park owner I care only about the guest's interests and right now these are their complaints.

Thank you all, and Demos I'm sorry but I won't use them as footers, but I could use them as a scenery item for a concrete wall for a path over the lakeside. Will that work?

Phase one is currently underway, and it's bringing some great results.


The Tilt-A-Whirl has been replaced with a newer one that has a better paint scheme.


Our new maintenance, and entertainment crew, they will grow as the park does.


The Merry-Go-Round is under surveillance for ride malfunctions.

With autumn coming to a close, Phase two will be started soon, and a brand new restaurant will be part of the park lineup.
