RCT3 Custom park Advice!

#1
Hello,

I Noticed a lot of people are using custom scenery in their parks. I'm new to this, so i was wondering how do you install custom scenery into RCT3. I would also like to know what kind of scenery do y'all recommend using? Replies are welcome. Thanks. Smile

I made a list of my favorite custom scenery to use here: http://forums.rctgo.com/thread-19143.html
Many people have great scenery packs and you can get most of them from:

A Hit of Spice

Ralfvieh's CSO
http://rct.ralf-paschke.de/
Weber's Rct Land

Moby
(Steal Jungle is used many times - a support cs set).
http://meganaut.net/cs.html
Blu has a great cs pack but take a long time to down load.

I am not familiar with the Mac version you are using so I'm sorry but I can't help you with the installation part. I hope the links will work with your system. There are many people on this site who may be able to help you. In the title of the form I would state that you are using a macbook pro 2013.

aecrouch7413 suggests some good cso's.

First of all, its importent to know that RCT3 only looks good with CSO's, that not only counts for coaster.
It also counts for Foliage (trees/bushes/stones) and Buildings.

With this in mind its a bit hard to tell you which CSO's are useful/importent for you and your way with RCT3.
I speak for myself, i currently have more than 7 GB CSO's in the "Style/Themed" Folder and i think i haven't all yet Wink.
It isn't necessary to have every single CSO, but sometimes download links/sites are broken down or files are corupted so its good to have the CSO's safe on an external Harddrive as an back-up.

So i think i could choose from ~ 10GB of CSO's, but i never used all cso's together.
Some CSO-Sets are very specific and others are really an must have.

Importent CSO's in my opinion are:
----------------------------------------

"Moby's Steel Jungle" v1 & v2 -> realistic looking steel-coasters need custom supports Wink
"BigBurgers Timber" v1 -v2 -> Woodie's need custom supports, too Biggrin
"CPciscosSteel Chaos_MSJ Addons" -> Addon for "Moby's Steel Jungle" sets, very useful!
"CPciscosB&M Footers" -> square Footers for B&M Coasters (can be used on other coasters as well)

"DasMatze_SwizzIt!" -> welcome to Switzerland, everything to build Buildings with an alpine/wooden touch. works well with ShyGuy's Alpine Sets

"ShyGuy" all sets -> all his sets are importent for making a good looking Mainstreet or other detailed looking buildings and smoother looking pathways

"StationJimJr" -> all sets, the same like ShyGuy's, all off them are helpfully, beautifully and covers up alot of different themes (Jungle, Vikings, Tropical, Pirates, Zoo, Gardens, Hotels)
His Fencing sets fits 1:1 to shyguys planters set, thats allways good if different sets fits together.
This make things easier Wink

"Ralfvieh" all sets -> like ShyGuy & StationJimJr Smile
"Phiwie" -> all are useful
"Osudenny" -> all are useful
"Vodhin" -> all are helpful

Realistic looking coasters need Goodies and other shinanigans, right?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"CoasterJoesB&M Connectors" -> this little things between the track and the support for B&M's Biggrin
"Gary roach prod-B&M Goodies" -> Catwalks/Evacuation Stairs for all Type of B&M's but can used on other Coasters too

"jhnshmB&M Brakes" -> simply CSO, but useful -> it gives your break/launch sections on the track a thicker and more realistic look

"CoasterJoesIntamin Footers" -> for Intamin/Stormrunner Coasters
"CoasterJoesIntamin Supports" -> for Intamin/Stormrunner Coasters
"CoasterJoesIntamin Turns" -> for Intamin/Stormrunner Coasters

"Coasterfreak90s MegacoasterAdditions" -> Goodies for Megacoaster's

"SafariJsArrowPack" -> 150 pieces for Arrow-Coasters, can be used for Vekoma-Types, too Wink
"Techno-CE-ArrowFooters" -> Footers for your Arrow-Coaster

"AA-LimsSystem" -> you want to build a LIM/LSM Launch Coaster? Than you need "ArkAngels - LIMs" to cover up the ugly ingame block-brakes and give them a powerful look

"Techno-CoasterEssentials-LIMs" -> as an alternative to ArkAngels - Set
"Techno-CoasterEssentials-LSMs" -> as an alternative to ArkAngels - Set

"Coin~Station Gates" 1-2 -> coasters need gates before peeps can enter the train Wink

"shadow'sCoaster nets" -> Nets, they are importent to secure our little peeps Smile

"SK-M31" -> Chain-Return-Set, some coasters need a chain return and a motor, so this set give this little details to you

"ATHCatwalk and Accessories Set" -> another Set with Catwalks and Goodies (universal)

Foliage and Vegetation:
---------------------------

you want some nice Trees and Bushes? than "OldSpice" has the CSO's you need

you wanna "Rock"? ehm Rocks Tongue well, than CSO's from "Weber" are useful

A park needs better looking Patways and Coasters need nice Queue-Lines, too.
So we need some Path-Covers:

"sh9032Path Covers"
"CoasterJoesPathway Extensions V.1"
"Shiggs713's Path Covers"
"Briantjuh94'sPathcovers 2.0"

The list is long and there alot of other good/great CSO's there, but i think for the start it's enough Tongue

Forgive me pls, if i forgot some importent CSO's on this list, but the "pro-designers" here can add the rest of the CSO's Biggrin

And now i wish you a good time into the CSO-Jungle and with RCT3! Happy building! Tongue

Soo long, Cobra Cool
Keep it everytime fair and with enough respect for each other!
