Here is a Really large update and vecause of silly limitations I have spread it out over different posts
Thr triple Coaster arrived during the closed season from intamin and loads of hard work has gone into gettting it ready for the new season. The coaster is quite big and has 3 corksrews hence the name triple Corkscrew. It has been altered for the park to fit in with the tight planning applications and the surrounding area.
The coaster's average speed is about 30mph and has got new and improved brakes from intamin. Hopefully this ill make it run alot smoother than out other coaster that has broken down loads of times this season.
The inversions have also had alterations to make them smoother and so that let's say in 2006 the coaster will be as fresh as ever.
The first drop sends you found our new lake that has had alot of time landscaping and editing.
The coaster reaches the grand height over 60ft before sending you down at full speed.
Here you can see the sheer scale of the ride and that intamin have really worked their socks off to get this ride ready.
The astroglide near to the new coaster has been planted up and made much better this season. We hope that you enjoy it.
Last time we talked about the Teacups it was bad news, the ride is still at HUSS and won't be back until the next season. Unfortunately the ride lost it's place this year to a Crazy Golf ride which will be removed next season.
A gneral overview of the site and this shows how big the crazy golf game actually is.
The ride is gone and so have all of the queues. I hope that you aren't too upset, I know that I am.
One final shot of how the ride used to be before it got old and had to be sent back to HUSS to be repaired. Here you can see it was one of the park's main attractions.
Also the Magic Carpet was replaced this season by a bigger ride, a mini Ferris wheel that looks better suited to the East side of the park than the old Magic Carpet ride.
A nice close up of the ride. How times have changed. This particular ride used to be one of the main rides at the neighbouring Alton Towers until we bought it for a large sum of cash.
The magic carpet, which was here last season, is no longer here. It was taken back to Huss after it failed it's safety test, which meant that we had the choice of leaving it like this or buying another ride from another park.
The park has had it's Merry gor round back and cadbury's have managed to prolong their sponsorship to another season. Thsi will mean that this is one of the longest sponsorship deals ever, Unfortunately the ride still hasn't had it's soundtrack updated and it sounds even worst than last season.
Yes this shows one of our trusty employees working away at the roses, this is one of the largest tasks for the workers and all if not most of them enjoy viewing our lovely roses.
The area towards the back of the park has been given a new lease of life by Taussauds, now it will become Space Mission to Mars, the main changes to the surroundings have yet to be decided. But rumours have it that John Wardley is working alongside the park to bring the spotlight back to them afetr it was recently stolen by Alton Towers. With Project X
This is the main site of the devlopment and as you can see so far there has not been very much development apart from the new Laser Quest buildings and large crates being placed around the outsides.
Thsi is how the area used to look before it was stripped and changed ready to make way for Project X, as you can see from this hot there aren't very many peeps around hence the redevolpment
Our Graviton seems to be very popular at the moment and many peeps just can't get enough of it. Perhaps it's the fact it has a 100% reliability and there are new settings on it.
Two other new rides this year were the Big Wheel that was bought from another park that kept hold of it until they could and so made it arrive late, 3 months late to be exact. And A Bugs life a small Topspin that really packs a punch.
And here's one final shot of the park, but from a different angle to normal. Be ready for Project X
Thanks for all of your comments, I hear the update man coming
Here you can see graviton in it's new home in the Space port. The park decided to move it there as it looks much better suited to the Space Port. As you can see it has also had a lick of paint and looks much better.
The space port is one of the largest areas in the park and has a good selection of highly themed rides. There are two coasters, both new from intamin on a very good deal, and 2 flat rides including the park's Graviton.
The Blast off ride is the fastest in the park launching you 90 degrees over it's self and back into the new and custom built Space station
The small coaster is Called a Trip to the Moon and despite it's oddly named title it is absolutely one of the best rides in the park.
Ths Space Port is all centred around a huge sculpture that was lifted from the studios of Futuroscope in Paris. The large Tower in the area broadcasts announcements to the guests so they can hear the rides that are and aren't working.
The area has yet another great overview, as you can see this hasn't been a little project and it has taken large numbers of staff to get it where it is today.
This is a nice onboard shot of the Trip to the Moon and it shows the first drop. Many astronauts themselves have been tested on this little baby.
This is the new Dodgems ride that was here for the season. As you can see it is lovely and clean as it is brand new.
A nice overview of the dodgems, they are looking great and the queues are certainly building up.
The chair swinger caught fire earlier this season which was caused by a ride attendant leaving a spanner on top of the engine box and it then falling into the engine fan thus causing it to overheat.
Taken by one of the peeps onboard the Observation ride.As you can see this wasn't a little fire.
Staff were informed to ask peeps to leave the area. There were many fans of the ride that tried to take pictures to post on their fanboy websites. These peeps have been dealt with and were later escorted from the park for disobeying park staff.
Here's one of the satff giving the ride a checkover before it is reopened later this season.
A new attraction bought by the park in hope that they could resurrect the sucess of the Merry Go round.
Next to the Dodgems is the Crazy Golf, the only update made to this ride was it's short queueline.
At the back of the park near to Triple Corkscrew this this year's other new area that is under development. The ride is on short loan until the park's Haunted House planning applications go through.
