4th of the Lucky 5 gets their compiled FRCS version of the alpha-1 for testing and to play with. Will they be assembling a lot of rides? That remains to be seen, though we did open up an FRCS Ridemaker section. This week the user manual for the FRCS should be posted, meanwhile we now wonder who the last of the original Lucky 5 will be to receive their copy of the game? I will get their names together as soon as we get number 5 on the roster, but rest assured your friends have the FRCS and have probably begun putting working rides together. Should be fun and interesting, all the combination's we will see created.

Well the Lucky 20 getting the alpha-2 with the original Lucky 5 and they are having issues with the frcs that vary greatly. These issues will get squished but it has been mentioned that the public release we all get will be forthcoming soon after the alpha issues are nailed by the coders. It seems ATI video cards have issues where as nVidea cards have fewer issues. Many new rides have been added to the repository including many new sounds, Textures, Ride Addons and now the first early coaster cars. It's all coming together on that end. On the coders end, serious Landscaping work has begun as well as parts of the other modules. Some of the newest rides include...

Lots more coming soon.

As the initial FRCS is winding up in alpha and very close to public consumption, the Landscaping coding is rapidly approaching and is expected to get nailed in the summer months. Lots to do, and lots done already as the game progresses. Rides totally more than 120 now are safe or nearing the end of their pipeline as fresh ride models continue to become a reality. Recent rides in the pipeline or repository include the following.

Aviator
Barnstormer
Bayou Boats (POTC style)
Chance Radar
Chance Rotor (plus add-on Kit)
Chance Turbo
Cobra
Eyerly Fly-O-Plane
Eyerly Loop-O-Plane
Eyerly Rock-O-Plane
Eyerly Roll-O-Plane
Fabbri Booster
High Ride
Klaus Satellite Jets
Shepherd Loop-O-Plane
Splash Battle Boats
Storybook Land Canal Boats
Watkins Rampage
Zipper

A number of other rides are also in the workings include the long awaited Samuel Clemens Steamboat plus the larger Riverboat with a stage and restroom/snackbars kit.

Large sailing ships for mega theme parks.

Discussions continue on both Park and Ride Piping, the Path Manager and finally the Building Generator. Be aware the landscaping modules coding this summer will also take on the Piping and manager features, so lotsa news coming on the events as they are happening. As soon as the coders have squashed enough bugs and spruced up the most recent public release alpha versions of the FRCS we should announce its main public release, hence why the original lucky 5 and following lucky 20 were so lucky to have the early buggy versions. Stay tuned, more news coming as things happen.

FRCS alpha-3 or the general public delayed a bit. It seems that while the alpha-2 bugs are more or less squashed, one nasty bug that affects Open GL and Direct X still is a crashing issue in the alpha-2 variants, so the alpha-3 variation remains until we can see these squashed by the coders. Once this happens we will post the direct links to the alpha-3 version. It will still be bare bones for now though some important features will have been added in. The really sprucey versions of the FRCS should follow as the bulk of the coders get it to play with. Meanwhile the game landscaping portion module and its associate modules are already in coding and will be coded throughout the summer of 2009. It is hoped that by Xmas time, a landscape to plop your many FRCS rides on will be available. In the meantime as the FRCS goes mass release as the alpha-3, people will be able to begin making many rides. A content committee by the TPB3D group will review the many models and assess whther to admit or deny models incorporation into the game. This is so that we can prevent chaos and provide inclusion for the community of rides and scenery that will work with the game. Many of your fellow RCT'ers got fed up with the Chaos in that community and decided a committee to view content and check mark stuff or reject stuff with hopes it will be refined for game inclusion will become the case. How this and the politics hold up, of course will be up to the community to decide. But it should all prove in the end to be whatever is best for the platform.

Many features that have been proposed will also continue to be included where possible. The main thing for the coders is to get a base game going and then we can all refine it from there and add the bells and whistles with more coders, modelers and others who will shape the base. So hang on, things are going to heat up and there is lots coming. Where other platforms died, we will look to making this a reality for everyone. As mentioned, when the alpha-3 is officially released the word will be spread.

Major new coders join the game, things ramping and heating up. Work is progressing on squashing the FRCS bugs in the alpha-2 release even if it takes a little longer. New coding has already started on the Landscaping portion as well as the TRCS and some into the BG and also AI are occuring. New ride models are in play and we also are getting our first of the official major 8 release themes nailed down in the Santa's Village theme thanks to new Scenery modelers who are pitching in. A brand new Tier 4 developer called the Graphic Arts group is now creating textures, alphas, drawings and photos for the game and modelers so the package has come together. The summer is expecting a lot of excitement for 2009 as things are coming together rapidly now will begin showing up shortly. Most of all, what makes this great is that it is owned by the global community. No more corporations pitching stuff, this is free and open source and it will continue to grow from here, hopefully becoming greatly enhanced by many features as it goes along. So Stay tuned as work progresses on the game.

mid 2010! New Santa's Village theme pack in modeling progress for the game. Check out the wiki page here for it at http://sebar.com/tpb3dwiki/index.php?tit...7s_Village

These structures are in addition to whatever the Building Generator creates. When the official golden version of release 1 for the modeling app/game occurs there are 8 authorized full theme packs designated and mandated for release. This is one of them.

New rides include the Yo-Yo thrill ride in works, Cobra, a brand new large tracked boat "Viking Ship" Drakkar which will carry 58 passengers per circuit plus an animated ship pilot/host. Brand new Graph Arts group in the community ramping up to help modelers with textures and alphas as well as coders with pages for in the game screens. New coders working into the game coding, all looks very good so far. As more happens we will bring it to you. Delays on the FRCS for now, bad code bugs being found and squashed in the application.

Lots happening at the community. Coding has progressed and a lot of the smaller bugs that have delayed the FRCS issues have been getting squashed.

A new Santa's Village working park with rides, less guests unfortunately has been proposed for a 2009 December gift to you all. Whether this holiday landscape gets out or not remains up in the air.

New rides booked or on their way include:

The Austin Flyplane a rare ride from the 1950's
[Image: Austin_Fly_Plane-SR4.jpg]

Barnstormer ride and this is much more authentic than TORCG3's will ever be!

Historic and still working real ride the Eyerly Fly-O-Plane though very few exist today.

The original "Hammer" Eyerly Loop-O-Plane
[Image: Eyerly_Loop-O-Plane_SR4.jpg]

Eyerly Version 2 Roll-O-Plane
[Image: Eyerly_Roll-O-Plane_SR4.jpg]

Eyerly replaced the original Roll-O-Plane with the newer "Sidewinder" ride and yes we have that covered as well.

Fabbri Booster Maxx long delayed now back in production.

Part 2 Posting...

Additional flat rides that have pushed the number well over 120 rides in the repository include these additional rare and historical as well as common rides and themed rides too.

Himalaya in the works by djfriktion and several other of his great rides.

The Whip - An original early flat ride from the turn of the 19th century is in progress.

Watkin's Rampage officially in the Repository and nailed for the game and you.

Progress on the new Yo-Yo ride continues to be refined. Thanks to Mikey98 and a lot of his hard work.

Very rare ride only a few made, none exist today is the Shepherd's Galaxy Wheel (1961) But you will have one in TPB3D.

The even more rare (1941) Shepherd Roll-O-Liner saw only three units because metal was needed during World War II and so building amusement park rides was nixed for several years officially killing this ride from ever seeing serious production. But what a wild fast thrillride Shepherd gave us. None exist today. except in tpb3d where you will have it to ride and share with your community friends.

To compete with Eyerly, Shepherd made a very rare Roll-O-Plane of his own. It was sort of a cross between a Loop-O-Plane and a Roll-O-Plane as the photo bears out. None exists today and few saw production, but in tpb3d you will have the ride for your online park and guests to share with you and your friends and delight in riding too.

Large ancient boat a first. A Viking Drakkar which will soon be accompanied by the Viking theme set for TPB3D including other themed Viking Rides includes this 58 passenger ship to move your peeps into battle along the canals on their scenic cruises of adventure. This ride is now in the repository awaiting the trackede rides end in the game with other boats. An even larger Greek and Roman ships that will feature indoor theater, restrooms, sit-in restaurants and shops will be coming soon, we are just getting started on the big boats.

Coding is moving quicker with newer coders on board and many others have joined the ranks including a new small army of graphic arts people helping modelers and coders with screens and textures amongst other issues. Ride sounds starting to appear for the game and a new Santa's Village working landscape covered in pine trees with snow and a winter wonderland has been proposed for a very early release by December 2009 as a gift to you to have some fun with for the time being. Lots happening, this is growing big time so enjoy the ride, the child years will soon be growing to the teen years.

New sandbox landscape emerges in testing by other coders for tpb3d. this will allow the user to test their frcs and later trcs rides and even mix scenery. It is a very first working rough draft of coding, but it is working and as it will soon be available to the end users, I wanted to show you a preview. This is the very first official tpb3d landscape though this is not the main landscape with the 360 alignment manager, not yet! Keep the faith all, your many friends are making this happen. Meanwhile Bulgie The Whale kids ride has joined the repository for the frcs and the Tilted Whirler and other variants are in working too plus many other rides.

Samuel Clemens model in new reworking thanks to Jungle Guy modeler for taking over this project. A bit of tweaking work and then this 450 passenger scenic ride will be ready for the game repository and the TRCS later on.
